ἔδοξε τῶι δάμωι τῶι Ἁλασαρνι–τᾶν· v ἐπειδὴ Διοκλῆς Ἀλεξάνδρουαἱρεθεὶς ἀρχεύων παρ᾿ Ἡρακλῆ τά τεἱερὰ ἐξέθυσεν τῶι θεῶι καλῶςκαὶ ἐνδόξως, καταξίως καὶ αὑτο[ῦ]καὶ τῶν προγόνων, οὐδεμίαν ὑπο–στελλόμενος δαπάναν ἀλλὰ δη–<λ>όμενος ἀπόδειξιν ποιεῖσθαι τᾶςαὑτοῦ προθυμίας· ὅπως οὖν καὶ ὁδᾶμος [φ]αίνηται τοὺς ἀγαθοὺς ἄ[ν]–δ[ρας τι]μῶν καὶ καταξίας χάριταςἀποδιδοὺς τῶν εὐεργετημάτων,ἐπαινέσαι τε Διοκλῆ ἐπὶ τᾶι αἱρέ–σει ἃν ἔχων διατελεῖ, καὶ στεφα–νῶσαι αὐτὸν χρυσέωι στεφάνωιἀπὸ χρυσῶν τριάκοντα ἀρετᾶς ἕ–νεκεν καὶ εὐνοίας τᾶς εἰς αὑτόν·ὅπως δὲ καὶ ἁ ἀναγγελία γένητα[ι]καλῶς καὶ ἐνδόξως τοῦ στεφά–νου, ἄνδρας ἑλέσθαι τρεῖς ἐκ πά[ν]–[τω]ν τῶν δαμοτᾶν ἤδη, οἵτινε[ς]ἐπελθόντες ἐπὶ τὸς προστάτα[ς]καὶ τὰμ βουλὰν καὶ τὰν ἐκκλησία[ν]τό τε ψάφισμα ἀποδωσεῦντ[ι] καὶπαρακαλεύντω τὸς πολίτας, ὅπω[ς]ἁ ἀναγγελία δοθῇ ἐν τῶι ἀγῶν[ι τ]ῶνΔιονυσίων καθ᾿ ἃ αἰτεῖται ὁ δ[ᾶμ]ος,τοὶ δὲ ναποῖαι τοὶ ἐν ἀρχᾶι εὖντεςἀναγράψαντες τόδε τὸ ψάφισμαἐς στάλαν λιθίναν ἀναθέντω ἐςτὸ ἱερὸν τοῦ Ἀπόλλωνος παρὰ τὰ[ν]παραστάδα τοῦ ναοῦ ἐν δεξιᾶ[ι][ἐ]σπορευομένων· v τὸ δὲ ἀνάλω̣–μα τὸ γενόμενον ἔς τε τὸν στέ–φανον καὶ τὰν ἀναγραφὰν τᾶςστάλας τελεσάντω τοὶ ναπο[ῖαι]τοὶ ἐν ἀρχᾶι ὄντες ἀπὸ τῶν τοῦθεοῦ vac. χρημάτων· vacatἄνδρες αἱρεθέν̣[τ]ε̣ς̣· ΤιμόλυκοςΔιοκλεῦς, v Φιλόφρων Εὐφιλήτου,Λαμπίας v Θαρσύνοντος.

Beschluss des Demos von Halasarna:Da Diokles S.d. Alexandros,gewählt als Beauftragter für Herakles, dieOpfer für den Gott schön ausgeführt hatund ehrenvoll, in einer für sich selbstund seine Vorfahren würdigen Weise, keinen Auf-wand scheute sondern vielmehr willenswar, seine Gesinnung unter Beweiszu stellen; - damit nun auch dasVolk in sichtbarer Weise die guten Männerehrt und angemessenen Dankabstattet für die Wohltaten,soll man Diokles für seine Gesinnungehren, die er fortwährend hegt, undihn bekränzen mit goldenem Kranz(im Wert) von dreißig Goldstücken, wegender Verdienste und des Wohlwollens ihm gegenüber;damit aber Verkündung des Kranzesschön und ehrenvoll geschieht,soll man Männer wählen, und zwar dreiaus allen Demengenossen, diebei ihrem Auftritt vor den Vorstehernund dem Rat und der Volksversammlungdiesen Beschluss überreichen unddie Bürger bitten, dassdie Verkündung gestattet werde bei den Dionysienam Wettkampf, wie es der Demos erbittet.Die amtierenden Tempelpflegersollen diesen Beschluss aufzeichnenauf eine steinerne Stele und weihenin den Tempel des Apollo bei demWandpfeiler des Tempels rechtsbeim Hineingehen. Die entstandenenKosten für den Kranzund die Beschriftung derStele sollen die amtierendenTempelpfleger erstatten aus demVermögen des Gottes.Es wurden gewählt: TimolykosS.d. Diokles, Philophron S.d. Euphiletos,Lampias S.d. Tharsynon.

It was decreed by the deme of the Halasarnans:inasmuch as Diokles son of Alexandros,elected as administrator for Herakles,carried out the sacrifices to the god handsomelyand with distinction, in a manner worthy of both himselfand his ancestors, sparing noexpense but wishingto make a demonstration of hiszeal; so that therefore themay be manifest honoring goodmen and rendering thanks worthyof the benefactions,to praise Diokles for the policyhe maintains and to crownhim with a gold crownworth thirty gold staters for hisexcellence and devotion to (the deme);and so that the proclamation may be donehandsomely and with distinction,to elect three men from allthe demesmen now whowill approach the prostataiand the council and assemblyand deliver the decree andrequest of the citizens thatthe proclamation be granted for the contest of theDionysia in keeping with what the deme asks;the sacral-administrators who are in officeare to inscribe this decreeon a stone stele and and erect it inthe temple of Apollo in thevestibule of the building on the rightas one enters; the costincurred for the crownand for inscribing thestele is to be paid out by the sacral-administratorsin office from the funds of thegod.men elected: Timolykosson of Diokles, Philophron son of Euphiletos,Lampias son of Tharsynon.
